Tesco supports Neighbourhood Watch

FOR the second year running, Tesco at Newtownabbey has provided valuable support to Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Newtownabbey with the provision of mobile phones for scheme co-ordinators.
Neighbourhood Watch is an effective tool in local crime prevention and dedicated mobile phones play an important part in this.
The phones provide a vital means of communication between the local scheme Coordinators and local Police thus facilitating the exchange of up to date information and a quicker response time from police to reported incidents.
A representative from the local store was keen to show her support: "Tesco is very happy to support Neighbourhood Watch in Newtownabbey for a second time as we recognise the importance of such initiatives to the local community."
