Search for Ballyclare war heroes continues

Wednesday, 15 October 2008

FOLLOWING a brilliant response after his last appeal a Ballyclare historian is once again appealing for anyone with information regarding a number of local soldiers from the town who fought in the two World War's.
Local man Eddie Beck is compiling information on soldiers from Ballyclare who gave their lives in the war effort and has already gathered a substantial amount of photographs and documentation relating to a large number of the men.
Eddie is hoping to put all his information together and ultimately create a book detailing all the men from the town who gave their lives during the two World War's. Speaking to the Gazette, he said: "The response has been brilliant, I am keen to get some photographs and would love to hear from anyone who has photos or information."
However there is a number of men who Eddie is having trouble tracking down information on. If you are a relation of any of these men or if you have any information, in particular photographs, Eddie is keen to hear from you.
The men Eddie is seeking information on are:
