Fun for all at Hockey Week

Everyone gives a big cheer for Hockey Week! SE3703
OVER 50 children from across the Borough came together for a hockey week at Foundry Lane. The week was a joint venture between Newtownabbey Borough Council and the North Eastern Education and Library Board.
All the children, both boys and girls, had a fantastic time receiving expert tuition from coaches from Ulster Ladies hockey.
Dean Holmes, Sport and Play Development Officer said: "It is fantastic to see so many children having fun and learning a new sport on the fantastic facilities at Foundry Lane.
“It is hoped that this will be an annual event and that eventually these players will feed into the local clubs over the next few years!"
