IFA PRESIDENT Raymond Kennedy, and Gareth Craig, from Coca-Cola presented local young footballer, Lee Williamson from Ballyclare, with his Coca-Cola Excellence Award before kickoff at Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier against San Marino recently.
Lee was chosen as the most outstanding young person in the Under 14 category of this year's IFA/Coca-Cola National Students course. His coaches chose Lee for this special award on the basis of his ability, attitude and commitment.
Congratulating Lee on his award, Gareth said: "Coca-Cola has been working with the IFA for several years, helping to identify and encourage Northern Ireland's talented young football players of the future.
“We want to encourage these sports enthusiasts to reach their full potential and follow in the footsteps of their international counterparts, whilst inspiring all young people to get involved in the sport."
Throughout the year, the most promising young footballers in Northern Ireland are nominated by their schools, clubs and counties to attend the Coca-Cola Residential Weeks, held in the University of Ulster Coleraine, every summer.
